to the driver where you want to go and hope that he both understands you
and knows where you want to go. It means that you hope that he takes you
on the most direct route to your hotel. You also have to hope that you don't
meet heavy traffic (Paris is notorious for it) which will slow you down
and increase your bill. Finally, you have to hope that he correctly charges
you for your baggage, as this charge is not shown on the meter.
