On day two,
the morning is spent cruising at sea and just after 11:00am you’ll catch your first sight of Denmark, with the island of Fano. On arrival at 12:00 (noon) in Esbjerg, you are transferred to your hotel for the next two nights, the Ansgar Hotel. With the afternoon at leisure, there’s time for lunch and a stroll around the city with the opportunity to visit one of the local museums

On day three,
after a leisurely breakfast, coaches depart for a full day’s excursion featuring a ‘Taste of Denmark’. Your tour takes you across the mainland of Denmark (Jutland) to Kolding. The highlight is a guided tour of Koldinghuus museum and castle. There’s then a couple of hours free to explore Kolding with time to shop and dine, before going onto the former medieval capital city of Ribe. Here you will find a charming and interesting town, with narrow winding cobbled streets and charming timber framed houses. Ribe's history is captured in the 800-year-old Cathedral. The main highlight of your visit to Ribe also includes an afternoon tea – Danish style at Denmark’s oldest and most charming Hotel Dagmar – where you will be served coffee and cake. During the visit you will be entertained and guided by one of the town’s famous night watchman with a fascinating walking tour of Ribe on the night watchman’s round.

Day four
is a relaxed day where you can choose to visit a range of local attractions. Visit the Maritime Museum in Esbjerg for a fascinating insight into the culture of the west coast of Denmark, or perhaps take a relaxing tour across to the island of Fano – great for walking.
